Well… where to start?

I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I am sure you know what I mean. You want to do something for so long, only to be engulfed by fear and anxiety. Well, it’s time I get over those irrational conflicts and get to it!

So Hello world! My name is Aiden Colley. I am a Writer, Youtuber, Cat Dad, and a bunch of other things that I’m sure you don’t care much about right now. What you care about is why you should spend your precious time on this blog site.

Well, for one, I will be posting free (and pretty amazing, if I do say so myself) short stories. That should be enough to make you intrigued, right? I think not!

As stated above, I have a YouTube channel, so I will convert those videos into blog posts. There will also be original content. The title may give an idea as to what kind of content. Writing tips, reviews, stories, and any other writing content I can think of will be of high regard.

There will of course be bookish content as well. Book reviews, lists, me exposing my brains ability to process complex novels. What will make my blog different from others is that I am working on this full-time, and plan to get to the top of the pyramid.

YouTube was the Start

I actually started this journey with my YouTube channel: Booked With Aiden. This is basically a BookTube channel, but I also will be adding writing content and creating videos for the short stories. I have quite a few videos out already, so you can go check out how awkward I am on camera!

Anyways, I’ll make this quick. I have been wanting to be a Writer for a long time, but I had many things holding me back (most of them being in my head). It’s time to ignore those unnecessary emotions and get to what has been holding my brain hostage (in a good way).

My goal with this blog and YouTube channel is to push through those feelings that hold me down, and to build myself up as a Writer and creator. Even if I end up failing completely, at least I can say that I tried. I won’t give up without a fight. That I can promise!

Even if no one reads my blogs, or likes them for that matter, at least I am taking action and pursuing my dreams. I am proud of myself for starting, and I hope to keep putting out better and better content. And as stated in the title, this is mostly about my writing journey. My biggest goal is to become an author, so everything that I read and all that I do online is to move me forward as a writer.

I am not ashamed to say that I am doing this to not only improve my skills, but to get my name out there.
